Focus on collaboration: strengthening the sector together with our partners

18 September 2024

In the months ahead, we will be establishing various partnerships within and outside the sector. We will also be organising roundtable sessions to discuss strategic choices and ideas with growers, traders and sector organisations. In this article, you can read how we are establishing different types of collaborations with a number of these partners.

Joining forces with Greenport Aalsmeer to create a futureproof and sustainable horticultural sector
We will soon be intensifying our partnership with Greenport Aalsmeer. This partnership focuses on improving the positioning of the horticultural sector (and gardening sector in general) and creating a positive image among consumers.

Greenport Aalsmeer will soon begin working in our office, which will make it easier and more effective to collaborate on various projects. For example, we will be helping to strengthen Greenport’s communication message, while they make their extensive network in the Aalsmeer region available to us.

Greenport Aalsmeer focuses on sustainable regional development, employment and education, as well as circularity. By integrating their expertise and knowledge into our external communications, together we can ensure more innovation and a better market position for the horticultural sector. This will also ultimately lead to a more positive image among consumers.

Sharing knowledge at the Novae Fabula Fair
During the Novae Fabula fair, organized by Bunnik Plants, we proudly launched our new booklet, 'Botanical Gallery.' This launch is a prime example of how we can share our knowledge and data with our community, including growers and traders. The booklet was well received by attendees and sparked valuable conversations with growers. We look forward to realizing more initiatives like this in the future.

A green experience at the vt living&design fair thanks to BNS Crisp
The vt living&design fair will take place from 1-6 October this year. This highly-varied home and interior design event is about more than just furniture and accessories; after all, flowers and plants are an important part of any interior. To inspire visitors to go green more often, we will be offering a ‘Green’ experience at the BNS Crisp (Professional Association of Dutch Stylists) stand. This experience will emphasise the importance of greenery in residential environments and generate awareness about the well-being effects of plants.

We are also working together with BNS Crisp on the ‘Stylist’ magazine, which will be launched during the event. It will include a 16-page section on ‘Green’, with focus on the positive effects and beauty of plants and flowers.

Wilhelmina Children’s Hospital & Partou Day Care celebrate Grandparents’ Day with flowers
In the Netherlands, we celebrate Grandparents’ Day on 6 October 2024. In partnership with the Grandparents’ Day Foundation, Partou Day Care and Wilhelmina Children’s Hospital, we are organising various activities that bring together different generations. All these activities focus on the power of flowers to connect people. We will show how flowers can build a bridge between generations and have a positive effect on the well-being of people of all ages. We will be announcing more activities in the weeks ahead.
