Peony Shopper Activation at Jumbo supermarkets
It's peony season again! The reason a Shopper Activation involving this flower launched at 600 Dutch Jumbo supermarket stores on Monday 7 June.
The offer
During this promotional week, customers received ten instead of five peonies for only 5 euros. Anyone celebrating their birthday also received a bunch of peonies completely free of charge. The activation was a collaboration between peony grower Wesselman, Jumbo Nederland and the Flower Council of Holland.
We need more peonies
The shopper activation was part of the ‘We Need More Flowers’ campaign, and ran until Sunday 13 June. During that period customers’ attention was drawn to the promotion with POS material and an in-store radio commercial. The offer was also promoted through Jumbo’s social media.
