Flower-filled ‘We Need More Flowers’ PR event

At the end of May the courtyard of the Singelkerk in Amsterdam was transformed into Bloom Bar: a unique location packed with fabulous flowers.  A meeting place specially designed for everyone who has missed proper interaction over the past year for a spontaneous chat or convivial closeness, or perhaps to meet their true love. For everyone who wanted to feel a connection with other people and through flowers.

Great conversations

We need more realness and more love. We picked up on that with this Dutch PR event that was linked to the ‘We Need More Flowers’ campaign. Visitors selected a flower and got chatting at a fabulous flower-filled table with someone with the same preference. A fiery rose, for instance, if you were looking for a date, or a calla if you wanted an adventurous conversation. The cards on the table suggested topics to talk about based on the flowers and their meanings since they are inextricably linked. 

Publicity
Naturally this event resulted in coverage on radio, TV and online, as well as social media posts by influencers. The visitors visibly enjoyed themselves, which can be seen in this aftermovie:
